Preparing and Administering Progesterone In Oil

  1. Getting Ready
  2. Step 1 – Draw Up
  3. Step 2 – Switching needles
  4. Step 3 – Inject

Be sure to have all of the following items before you begin:

  • One multiple dose vial of Progesterone in Oil 10ml/10cc.
  • One syringe.
  • One long needle for administration.
  • One needle for drawing up the medication.
  • Alcohol swabs.
  • Sterile gauze.
  • Safety container.

Note: Your physician may instruct you to use the same needle that you will be drawing the medication up with to perform you injection. If so you will only have one needle and syringe for your Progesterone In Oil injection.
